Terms and conditions

Version 3.0 · Last updated 9 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Importrr (“the app”), a Shopify app that imports product catalogs into your Shopify store. By installing the app, or by confirming them when you start an import, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

“We”, “us” and “our” mean the provider of Importrr, reachable at hassantaabi@gmail.com. “You” means the merchant installing or using the app, and anyone you allow to use it on your store’s behalf.

1. What the app does

Importrr reads product information from a source address you provide — a product or collection page on a store you are authorized to import from — and creates matching products in your own Shopify store. It applies the rules you configure: pricing, tags, vendor, category, inventory behaviour, description clean-up, and optionally an AI-written description you approve before it is published.

The app writes only to your own Shopify store. It does not modify, access privately, or interact with the source store beyond reading pages that store publishes.

2. Your rights to what you import

You are responsible for holding the rights to everything you import. By using the app you confirm that, for each import you run, you have the necessary rights, permission, licence, supplier authorization or legal authority to import, use, modify, publish and sell the product information, images, descriptions, trademarks and other content you have selected.

That authority will usually come from one of the following:

You remain responsible for compliance with intellectual property law, trademark law, your agreements with suppliers and marketplaces, consumer protection rules, and the laws that apply where you sell. We do not verify your authority and cannot do so on your behalf.

We record each confirmation you give: which source it referred to, when, which version of these terms was in force, and which user in your store gave it.

3. Covering us if that turns out to be wrong

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you imported — that it infringed their copyright, trademark or other rights, or breached an agreement you had with them — you will cover us for it. That means the claim itself, any award or settlement, and the reasonable legal costs of dealing with it.

This applies only to claims arising from your use of the app and the content you chose to import. It does not apply to a claim caused by our own breach of these terms or our own negligence. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without asking you.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the app to:

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

5. AI-written descriptions

On plans that include it, the app can draft a product description using an AI provider. Every draft is shown to you beside the original and is never published until you approve it. You can edit a draft before approving it, and you can revert to the original afterwards.

AI-written text may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish and for ensuring it is truthful about the product, particularly any claim about materials, measurements, origin, safety or compliance. To support this, the app instructs the model not to state facts absent from the source description, but you should not rely on that alone.

The product’s title, its current description and the brand-voice text you have written are sent to our AI provider to produce the draft. Under our agreement with them they are not permitted to use it to train or fine-tune any model, and we do not use it for any other purpose ourselves. Nothing is sent unless you ask for a draft.

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed by Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or handle your card details. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on the Plans page in the app.

Changing plan takes effect immediately, and Shopify applies any credit for time already paid for. You can cancel at any time, from within the app or from your Shopify admin. Products you have already imported stay in your store after cancelling.

Allowances — such as the number of products you may import, or the number of AI descriptions per month — are described on the Plans page and enforced by the app.

7. Your data

The app stores what it needs to do its job: your store details, your settings, the source addresses you import from, a record of each import and its results, and your rights confirmations. Access tokens are encrypted at rest.

Uninstalling the app stops all work immediately and discards your access token. You can also request erasure of everything the app holds about your store from within the app’s Settings, and Shopify’s own data-deletion requests are honoured.

What is stored, who else sees it and how long it is kept is set out in full in the privacy policy.

8. Availability

The app is provided as-is and as-available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it depends on services we do not control, including Shopify, source stores, exchange-rate providers and our AI provider.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost sales or lost data arising from your use of the app. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in that period, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Which law applies

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the app, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings to protect our intellectual property in any country where it is being infringed.

If you deal with us as a consumer rather than in the course of a business, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page change when we do, and each confirmation you have already given remains recorded against the version that was in force at the time. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
